SibyllaCoach - Netball Level 2 Coach
Sibylla says, "I have always enjoyed playing sports and got into netball seventeen years ago, playing in a friendly club with my sisters-in-law. I started to play in the Tonbridge league and still really enjoy the weekly games. When my daughter went through Junior school, I helped with the netball club and took the Level 1 coaching award - so I knew what I was talking about! Recently I was lucky enough to get a job as a netball coach in a school and have now got my Level 2. Laura and I both have netball playing daughters and when we discussed setting up some coaching sessions it wasn't quite as easy as "jumpers for goalposts". We started planning Crowborough Netball at the beginning of 2012, so we are excited to have got to the point of nearly stepping on court, with bibs and balls." |
LauraPen-pusher
Following a prolonged sport hiatus due to lazy-itis after leaving middle school, Laura started playing netball again in 2009 when she moved to San Diego and trained with San Diego United. Despite a lot of running around and getting red-faced, she is still not entirely sure of the rules of netball, remains ridiculously unfit, and can't throw or catch a ball for toffee. She doesn't let these facts stop her enjoyment of the game though. Laura lives in Crowborough with one husband, two children, two dogs, three chickens. She is an education leader for English Heritage, and runs youth theatre wywtheatre.com. (Rest assured, Laura doesn't talk about herself in the 3rd person in real life.) Most likely to play Wing Defence (badly). |
