What should I wear?
It's best to wear something comfortable that you can move around in easily that you don't mind getting sweaty in! Jogging bottoms are good with shorts underneath in case you get warm and want to strip off the warm clothes! Bring a fleece or hoody: it's good to have some layers to take off when you get hot and then put back on at the end when you cool down.
Also, wear trainers. Leave the Jimmy Choos at home.

What should I bring?
A water bottle is essential.
Under 16s, don't forget your completed permission form (click here for a copy). The form must be signed by your parent or guardian.

What is "High Fives"?
High Fives is a form of netball played in primary schools in England. Developed by England Netball, it allows all players to experience all positions on the court, making for fitter, more adaptable players as they progress in the game. It is played by Juniors (under 11s).

Can I join part way through the year?
Yep! Come along at any time.

I like the idea of netball but I've never tried it, should I come along?
Absolutely! This is the club for you. No experience required.

I'm really experienced at netball, should I come along?
Yes, please! We want you!

Can parents stay and watch?
Of course!

Is it a sports team - will there be matches to attend?
Currently, we are a training club rather than a team. Most training sessions include a mini fun match. For the Juniors  (under 11s) and Seniors (under 16s) who come to regular training, we hold occasional coached tournaments so you can play competitively. We also support our adult players in forming their own teams and joining a league. However, we are not a netball team with regular league fixtures.

Is it only for women and girls?
No, netball is for everyone; women, girls, men, boys, and non-cisgender.

Is there a loo?
When we are using Crowborough Outdoor Court, we have to go into the Leisure Centre or Town Council Changing Rooms so it's a bit of a faff. It's best to go before we start but we know sometimes you just have to go, even if you're playing netball!
At Freedom Leisure in Crowborough and Uckfield and Green Lane Gym there are loos!

Is training always outside?
Only in the late Spring and in the Summer months. September through March, we play on inside courts – it’s too cold to be outside then. Brrrr!

Are there any regular sessions for adults?
Yes! Please email us and tell us what you are interested in - whether you are completely new to netball, haven't played since school or are a regular player, there’s a session for you! Email: hello@crowboroughnetball.com.
